Holocaust Memorial Museum

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out---
Because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out---
Because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out---
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me---
and there was no one left to speak for me.

                                     anti-Nazi German pastor

Today I visited the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.  It is impossible to describe the Exhibition.  You move through three floors starting at the top: Nazi Assault--1933 to 1939; the middle floor, The "Final Solution"--1940 to 1945; and the final floor, Last Chapter.  I will never forget the sights, sounds, smells, and feels.  I pray that the world never forgets.
